Carson Wynn is currently a Robotics PhD student at the University of Utah at the Human–Robot Empowerment Lab. He graduated with a BS in Mechanical Engineering from BYU with interests in modal dynamics working under Dr. Matt Allen. He is currently developing novel high-degree-of-freedom device controllers for assistive robotic manipulators using human biosensing modalities: sonomyography, surface electromyography, and inertial measurement units. He wants to create intuitive, dexterous, and versatile control systems for different robot morphologies.
